Let's hope Israel is watching, and updating its plans to retake the Sinai Peninsula when the inevitable happens, that arabs once again start beating the war drums. وعن معاهدة السلام، قال بيومي: «سنتخذ الإجراءات القانونية السليمة تجاه معاهدة السلام، هي لا تلزمني إطلاقاً، وسيبدي الشعب رأيه فيها».
وشرح: «الإخوان مرحليا يحترمون المواثيق الدولية، ولكن سنتخذ الإجراءات القانونية تجاه معاهدة السلام مع الكيان الصهيوني.. فمن حق أي طرف أن يعيد النظر في المعاهدة، والشعب المصري لم يقل رأيه فيها من قبل».
وأضاف: «معاهدة السلام لم نبرمها وسنتخذ الإجراءات القانونية المحترمة تجاهها، ويجوز أن نعرضها على الشعب أو برلمانه المنتخب لإبداء رأيه فيها، إن كان فيها نوع من المساس بحرية الشعب وسيادته».
